Ortrander Eisenhütte, Europe's most modern foundries. Grey, vermicular and spheroidal cast iron for melting workshop, each with 6 ton capacity and energy efficient tandem operation system four induction melting furnaces (Inductotherm system) and two automatic magnesium processing stands with equipment.
The company's production options and capacity are quite extensive thanks to the use of three molding machines, one each of the DISA 230, DISA 240, and DISA 270 types. Unit weights of up to 35 kg can be achieved. This is further enhanced by the wide range of possibilities offered by the Ortander two-grid system for castings with very smooth surfaces and castings requiring machining.
Iron-carbon casting alloys are our area of expertise: GJL according to EN 1561, GJS according to EN 1563, GJS-400-18-LT and GJV, or special alloys for high-temperature resistant applications or for enamel or coating, for extremely smooth surfaces. Materials are melted, pre-conditioned, treated with magnesium if necessary, and cast in casting furnaces heated by induction under inert gas in our modern, processor-controlled MF melting facility according to your specifications. This process ensures the necessary analysis and temperature consistency throughout the entire production cycle. Casting is carried out on boxless automatic molding machines with vertical mold compartments - DISA system. We have been working with this technology for over 30 years. Grinding and sandblasting of raw castings is the final stage of the production chain. All other parts are further machined and surface treated on our five-axis CNC machines. In many cases, we also assemble the finished products.
