Kutluk Group Acquires 219-Year-Old German Brand.

Kutluk Group, which has been in negotiations for a casting company in Germany for some time, has acquired the German brand Teutoguss, which began production in 1806. Kutluk Group Chairman Mehmet Kutluk stated that in addition to the brand, they have also acquired an 18,000-square-meter factory built on a 45,000-square-meter area. He said, "With this acquisition, which will support our export targets, we have also crossed a significant threshold in terms of brand awareness."

Kutluk stated that the production facility has the capacity to cast 10 tons per piece, saying, "Kutluk Teutoguss, which has a significant monthly casting capacity of 250 tons in a single shift, has the potential to increase to 400 tons with the second shift. Our investment in the factory building will continue in the three-year projection. With an additional investment of €3 million over three years, primarily in solar power plants and roof projects, we will strengthen our production area and take our quality-focused processes to a higher level."

“We will provide on-site service to Europe”

Melih Kutluk, Vice Chairman of the Kutluk Group Board of Directors, emphasized that the acquisition brings significant know-how to Turkey. He said, “This step, which positively impacts Kutluk's reputation in Europe along with the brand's strength and recognition advantage, also brings with it significant know-how that will further enhance our current operational processes and efficiency. As a Turkish company, we will produce what the market calls 'German-quality production.' Considering that we were exporting 50 percent of our production, and our main markets are Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Slovakia, this investment also gives us the opportunity to provide faster and more efficient service to Europe. From now on, we will focus our efforts on strengthening our presence in existing markets and increasing our exports.”

Kutluk, stating that they are continuing to invest in various areas, said, “With the 3D sand printer we will install at our Bozüyük factory, we will be participating in niche businesses in various areas. Currently, we serve 90% of our production in the automotive sector. While we primarily produce for moldmakers on the casting side, our industry experience allows us to manufacture in a wide range of areas. We offset the recent slowdown in the automotive sector by acquiring projects in various sectors, drawing on our foundry experience. We also transformed our earnings into new investments that will create added value for us. The Kutluk Smart Solution, which we implemented for the processing of small parts we produce, was one of these. With five different CNC machines, our company is actively involved in the production process, and we have succeeded in minimizing errors and associated returns, especially on products destined for export, by working with a focus on quality.”
